Ok, so let me introduce myself. My name is Patrick I just turned 39 and I just started getting back into running. My goal is to keep doing 1/2 marathons until I hit 1:35. Thats a 7:14 mile.
My first 1/2 marathon was October 2010 in Long Beach California I had set a goal of completing in under 2 hours and I am glad to say that I managed to do so just 1:59:51. So feeling good about myself I decided to enter the Las Vegas 1/2 the new goal 1:55. I ran it in 1:55:48.
I will admit that I didn't train as hard as I could have and in a way that gives me hope that if I do actually get into a training routine, that I can make 1:35.
Well my next race is going to be the Surf City 1/2 on super bowl Sunday. http://www.runsurfcity.com/
My goal for this one is 1:45. I have 2 months to do it. its a minute a mile faster than I am currently running, but hell you have to have a goal, right ?
Training will start Thursday and then when I get to Ireland i will train as much as I can for 3 weeks.
